$215
monthly*
PLEASE READ! Effective February 1st we will be increasing the price to $215. This price adjustment has come after very careful consideration of the studio’s costs and the benefits of Membership. We want to continue to provide each Anyhow Studio Member with a high-quality experience, clean and well-equipped facilities, and ensure work is both handled and fired with care. This increase will help cover rising expenses in energy for kiln firings, maintenance & replacement kiln parts, reflects the increased cost of glaze materials, and enables us to pay our studio staff a fair wage.

We are looking for a minimum of 1 year working with clay on a semi-regular basis, or 3 classes.
-
Each member is assigned an 18” x 48” shelf for tools, materials, and clay. Additional storage for works in progress is included.
-
The studio offers Laguna 55, an off-white lightly speckled stoneware.
-
No, you are not required to use Laguna 55, but most members do. You may use your own **cone 6** clay body with the expectation that you reclaim it on your own, and keep all water, slip, and wet clay away from the studio reclaim system.
*The studio can’t accommodate red clay at this time. -
The studio has a collection of 10+ glossy and matte dip glazes.
Members are encouraged to purchase their own underglazes and store them on their shelf. -
We allow most commercial cone 6 glazes **except the following:**
- Ritual glazes
- Special effects glazes including crackle, crawl, bead, gloop, lava, flux, etc.
- Wonderglaze
We **LOVE** the following commercial glazes:
- Amaco
- ‘Velvet Underglaze’
- ‘Potter’s Choice’
- ‘Cone 6 Celadon’
- ‘Cone 6 Satin Matte’
- Mayco ‘Stroke and Coat’
- Speedball
- ‘Underglaze’
- Coyote
- ‘Archie’s Cone 6’
We **do not** allow any glazes that are unmarked, mixed at home or any other studio. -
No, experience operating a kiln is not required. An Anyhow team member is responsible for loading and unloading all kilns.
-
The short answer? Nope.
Here’s the long answer: Anyhow was founded out of a desire to serve beginners and intermediate artists, and we are in service to that mission. I wish we had the square footage to accommodate every industrious entrepreneur but that is not the case. Day to day business operations such as large scale production work, and packing and shipping are simply more than the studio can handle. -
We love your entrepreneurial spirit, but we can’t fire work under these circumstances. If you’d like to propose a workshop to teach at Anyhow, you can submit one here.
-
Members are allowed 2 guest passes per month wherein your guest may use all studio facilities. Members are responsible for their guests and will keep them accompanied at all times and informed of all relevant studio practices.
-
Classes ay Anyhow are not a requirement for membership, but we do recommend familiarizing yourself with the studio to see if it's a good fit.
