Additional Fees

Works over 12” in any direction are subject to firing fees. Firing fees are 15¢ per ounce.

Work Storage + Pickup

Storage: Students have access to storage for works in progress for the duration of any 8 week class. We kindly ask our students to clear out works in progress by the last day of class.

If students would like to continue working in the studio as a Drop-In student, remaining clay and projects will be moved to Drop-In storage.

Pickup: Work made during classes will be ready for pickup no later than 2 weeks after the last class. Sometimes, circumstances beyond our control such as unexpected kiln maintenance, or extra large work will push this deadline back. In the event that the pickup date is delayed, you will be notified of the new pickup date via email.

FAQ

  • The price includes 25 lbs. of clay, dip glazes, and all firings. Additional clay is available for purchase for $30 per 25 lb. bag. Additionally, all work over 12” in any dimension will be subject to firing fees which are 15¢ per ounce.

  • Yes! All students enrolled in a class, will have space to leave work throughout the duration of class. If work or clay is not claimed 2 weeks after the conclusion of a class, it will be reclaimed (thrown out).

  • Currently our classes are for folks 18 and older.

  • Anyhow Studio does not offer one-time group throwing events. Making ceramics is a slooooow, multistep process, which does not easily lend itself to a one-time event.

Picture signing up for a cooking class. You arrive, put on your apron, chop a bunch of onions and garlic, clean up, and then leave. Sure, you practiced your knife skills, and hung out with some cool folks, but where’s the risotto?

A one-time pottery class is similar. In order to experience the entire process, I recommend at least 6 weeks of instruction. Instead of one night, consider gifting an open studio drop-in, or gift card for your dear one to take a class with us.

  • Parking is available in the lot directly outside of the studio. Overflow parking is located in the lot on Acorn Street directly across from the alley entrance. *Please do not block the Aunty’s House entrance door, or loading dock.

  • Clay is messy! Wear comfortable clothing you won’t mind getting dirty with clay or glaze. Most ceramic materials will come out in the wash, but cannot guarantee that your clothing won’t get damaged.
