  • The burning question that every potter wants to know! But first, a quick explanation of the firing process —

When loading a kiln, there are many factors to consider such as moisture level, size, shape, and glaze application. Imagine a game of Tetris, but instead of playing with sturdy blocks, you are playing with fragile, often irregularly shaped ceramic works. Sometimes your work will fit perfectly in the kiln that is being loaded, and sometimes we need to wait to safely fire it.

We do our absolute best to fire work in a timely fashion, usually 10-14 business days, but we will never speed up the process if it will compromise our kilns or any person’s work.

  • Parking is available in the lot directly outside of the studio. Overflow parking is located in the lot on Acorn Street directly across from the alley entrance.
